Patricia Heintzman

Patricia Heintzman grew up in Montreal and spent her university years at Ontario’s McMaster University where she received a BA in History. Patricia continued her studies and graduated from Sheridan College with a diploma in Photojournalism. She has spent most of her career in the publishing world as a journalist, editor, publisher, photographer, graphic designer and freelance writer.

Patricia has been involved in a number of organizations and community events in the region and elsewhere including Squamish Helping Hands Society, helping Squamish’s homeless. Patricia is past president of the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and has participated on many Boards of Directors including the Squamish Oceanfront Development Corporation, the Whistler Forum for Leadership and Dialogue, Test of Metal and the Lower Mainland Local Government Association. Patricia took part in the Leadership Sea to Sky program and was instrumental in the Squamish Humanity Village Project (response to the 2004 Tsunami).

As an avid traveller, Patricia has travelled extensively and continues to find international adventure whenever possible. She was Mayor of Squamish, BC from 2014-2018
